The Avantor® Hichrom Organic Acid range is specifically designed for the effective separation of organic acids, utilising ion exclusion columns packed with sulphonated polystyrene-divinylbenzene. This range includes the OA-1000 and OA-2000 columns, which are renowned for their exceptional selectivity towards both aliphatic and aromatic acids. The columns are engineered for optimal performance with isocratic 100% aqueous mobile phases, eliminating the need for organic solvents. For accurate and consistent operation, the use of a column heater is recommended. Additionally, the IOA-1000 and IOA-2000 columns are particularly adept at separating citric and other acids from glucose and fructose, making them versatile tools in carbohydrate analysis.
