The 96-needle head is offered in two designs – straight or spiral – to suit specific applications. Spiral needles generate a vortex in the solvent, increasing surface area and accelerating evaporation for rapid dry down, while straight needles ensure superior final drying in V-bottom plates and are essential for smaller wells, such as those found in 384-well plates. For vial-based workflows, specially designed vial holders ensure seamless compatibility and efficient solvent removal.
