SiELC Obelisc HPLC Columns
All pictures shown are for illustration purpose only. Actual product may vary.
SiELC Obelisc N is a mixed-mode column based on LiSC (Liquid Separation Cell technology) and is characterized by its highly polar properties, making it well-suited for separating polar and charged analytes. LiSC technology is based on a chemical modification of the silica gel pores that creates a liquid separation cell with its own charge characteristics, ionic strength, and hydrophobic properties.
Obelisc N has normal phase characteristics, with a stationary phase with anions close to the surface separated from cationic groups by a hydrophilic chain. The column supports multiple separation modes, including normal phase, HILIC, and ion exclusion.
Features
- Obelisc N features both positively and negatively charged groups, allowing it to interact with analytes that are either positively or negatively charged
- The column supports multiple separation modes, including normal phase, HILIC, and ion exclusion
- In HILIC mode, Obelisc N displays different selectivity compared to other HILIC or bare silica columns
- The column is compatible with LC-MS, ELSD, and UV detection below 220 nm, using low concentration buffers
- Adjustable selectivity in all modes based on organic content, pH, and buffer strength
- Obelisc range also includes Obelisc R for reversed phase separations
- Scalable from capillary to prep
- Guard columns connect directly to columns and do not require any additional holders
