GL Sciences Inertsil C8-3 uses the same base silica gel and bonding technology that is employed for Inertsil ODS-3. The difference between the two phases is just the length of the hydrocarbon ligands. 10 μm particle size columns are also available to meet the requirement of various pharmacopeia methods. InertSustain C8 columns are recommended for all new method development.

- 2 µm columns maximum operating pressure is 800 bar
- 3 µm HP columns maximum operating pressure is 500 bar
- 3 and 5 µm columns maximum operating pressure is 200 bar
- Guard cartridges E with 10 mm length require guard holder part number 5020-08500
- UHPLC guard cartridges require guard holder part number 5020-08630
