CentriPure gravitational columns from emp BIOTECH are advanced gel filtration columns designed for rapid purification, desalting, and buffer exchange of biological samples using gravity flow. Filled with Zetadex Medium gel, these columns provide a faster, more efficient alternative to dialysis or tangential flow filtration (TFF) for removing small molecules like salts, dyes, and biotin from larger proteins, nucleic acids, or nanoparticles.
Available with two grades of Zetadex - Zetadex-25 for proteins larger than 5 kDa and nucleic acids longer than10 bases, and Zetadex-50 for proteins larger than 25 kDa and nucleic acids longer than 20 bases - these columns process fixed sample volumes with a 1.5-fold dilution and achieve over 85% recovery. They can be pre-washed with water for desalting or pre-equilibrated with a buffer of choice for a customised buffer exchange, making them versatile for a range of applications.
