Agilent PoraPLOT GC Columns

Agilent J&W PoraPLOT Q is recommended for column switching systems that analyse polar and apolar volatile compounds. Water elutes as a sharp and quantifiable peak. In addition, retention times are repeatable, as retention is not influenced by water in the sample.

Agilent J&W PoraPLOT Q-HT is the high temperature version of PoraPLOT Q, offering the same benefits in the analysis of polar and apolar volatile compounds but operating up to 290°C. As with PoraPLOT Q, water elutes as a sharp and quantifiable peak, and retention times are repeatable, as retention is not influenced by water in the sample.

Agilent J&W PoraPLOT S is a divinylbenzene/vinylpyridine polymer for hydrocarbons and ketones. This phase is ideal for the analysis of medium polarity volatiles, including hydrocarbons and ketones, at higher temperatures than PoraPLOT U.

Agilent J&W PoraPLOT U provides symmetrical peaks with polar volatiles. Water has no effect on retention times and elutes as a sharp and quantifiable peak. PoraPLOT U is the most polar porous polymer PLOT column and is designed for halogenated compounds, hydrocarbons C1 – C6, ketones and solvents.

PoraPLOT U GC Columns

  • The most polar porous polymer PLOT column ideal for halogenated compounds, C1 – C6 hydrocarbons, ketones and solvents
  • Excellent peak shape of polar and non-polar volatiles
  • Water has no effect on retention times and elutes as a sharp quantifiable peak
  • Reliable retention time repeatability
  • G45 phase USP classification

Similar Phases: Rt-U-BOND

UltiMetal columns are engineered to combine the robustness of stainless steel with advanced surface deactivation for excellent peak shape.

A 7 inch cage is the most common GC column format, compatible with Agilent 5890, 6890, 7820, 7890, 8860, and 8890 series GC systems, and all non-Agilent GC systems with a similarly sized oven. The 5 inch cage format is designed for smaller GC ovens e.g. for the Agilent GC 6850.
