Agilent ZORBAX StableBond Aq (SB-Aq) HPLC Columns

All pictures shown are for illustration purpose only. Actual product may vary.
Agilent ZORBAX StableBond Aq (SB-Aq) HPLC columns contain a proprietary alkyl bonded phase designed to retain hydrophilic and other compounds when using highly aqueous mobile phases, including 100% water. The SB-Aq surface chemistry is designed to allow the alkyl phase to remain fully accessible in aqueous mobile phases to prevent phase collapse. StableBond packing materials are not endcapped to provide exceptional stability and to maximise lifetime and reproducibility under acidic mobile phase conditions. The columns are manufactured using patented, unique, nonfunctional silanes with bulky diisopropyl side chain groups that sterically protect the key siloxane bond to the silica surface from hydrolytic attack at low pH. ZORBAX StableBond columns are based on traditional fully porous particles, and are available in 1.8 µm, 3.5 µm, and 5 µm particle sizes for both UHPLC and standard HPLC methods.
Features
- Reproducible retention of polar analytes in aqueous mobile phases
- Excellent stability in low pH mobile phases
- Complementary approach to ion-pair separations
- Traditional, fully porous particles available in 1.8 µm, 3.5 µm, and 5 µm sizes
- Guards extend the lifetime of analytical columns without diminishing performance
- USP L96 classification
- ZORBAX StableBond range includes SB-C18, SB-C8, SB-C3, SB-Phenyl, and SB-CN for alternative selectivity
- ZORBAX StableBond Aq chemistry is aligned with Poroshell SB-Aq for easy transfer from fully porous to superficially porous particle columns
