High-temperature GC columns are specifically designed to deliver stable, reliable performance in high-temperature gas chromatography, where final oven temperatures typically range from 350 to 450°C. Manufactured from thermally robust materials such as metal or specially treated capillary substrates, these columns maintain structural integrity and chromatographic efficiency under conditions where standard fused silica columns become brittle, lose flexibility, and require increased maintenance. 

High-temperature GC columns enable the effective separation of high molecular weight compounds, including those with boiling points up to 800°C, while minimising bleed and preserving peak quality.
