HALO® RP-Amide HPLC Columns from Advanced Materials Technology

HALO® RP-Amide Analytical HPLC Columns from AMT

The one-step bonded, endcapped, amide-based, polar embedded stationary phase of HALO 90 Ã… RP-Amide provides a stable, reversed phase packing with decreased hydrophobic character. HALO 90 Ã… RP-Amide can be used for basic, acidic, or neutral compounds. HALO 90 Ã… RP-Amide columns will have similar retention but different selectivity for some compounds compared to alkane phases. Phenols and anilines interact more strongly with the amide phase compared to C18/C8. Typically, bases move to shorter retentions compared to C18 columns. Non-polar solutes show little differences.

Available in 3 particle sizes:

  • HALO® 2 µm columns can meet or exceed the performance of most non-core sub-2 µm columns at pressures one-third to one-half the back pressure under the same conditions
  • HALO® 2.7 µm columns can meet or exceed the performance of most non-core sub-2 µm columns at pressures one-third to one-half the back pressure under the same conditions
  • HALO® 5 µm columns match the performance of totally porous 3 µm columns at roughly half the back pressure under the same conditions

HALO® RP-Amide HPLC columns from Advanced Materials Technology have a polar embedded stationary phase that is advantageous for the reversed phase separation of polar compounds. Increased retention and improved peak shapes for basic compounds are observed compared to C18 phases. HALO® RP-Amide offers alternative selectivity to traditional alkyl phases making it an excellent addition to method development screening kits. Available with 2 µm, 2.7 µm, and 5 µm Fused-Core® particles for use on either HPLC or UHPLC instruments.
