Screw Caps from Agilent
Agilent Technologies screw caps are available in a range of different sizes and different septa type to suit all your application needs.
- 8 mm screw caps for the original, smaller opening vials with an 8-425 thread-size
- 9 mm screw caps for wide opening vials (40% larger opening than standard opening vials)
- 13 mm screw caps for 4 mL vials
- 16 mm screw caps for 6 mL vials
Choose certified caps for full warranted compatibility with Agilent autosamplers.
Agilent screw caps are 9 mm and come with precision fit septa to provide a consistently secure seal when paired with Agilent screw vials. They are available in different colours and with a wide range of septa material to suit different application needs.
Features
- Agilent septa are continually being improved to limit leaching, coring, sticking, push-through, hardness, and adsorption/absorption
- During manufacture, Agilent septa undergo thermal and chemical conditioning to reduce siloxane bleed, which can occur when the septa material is stressed during heating, solvent interaction, or piercing by the autosampler needle
- For highly sensitive samples, we recommend PTFE-lined (“sandwiched”) septa, because the PTFE layers act as a chemically resistant barrier
