GERSTEL Filtration Supplies for MPS Robotic Pro

The GERSTEL filtration supplies for use with the MPS Robotic Pro offer an automated, efficient solution for the filtration of samples in chromatography applications. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the GERSTEL MPS, these supplies enhance the accuracy of GC/MS and LC/MS analyses by effectively removing particulates and matrix materials from samples. This filtration process not only improves analysis results but also extends the lifespan of critical system components.

For the filtration to be performed automatically, syringe filters are fitted with a cannula and a transport adapter and are stored on a filter tray. Three different types of filter tray are offered that accommodate a different number of filters.

  • A filter tray for 16 filters with membranes of any diameter and with a maximum external diameter of 35 mm.
  • A filter tray for 24 filters with membranes of any diameter and with a maximum external diameter of 22.5 mm. This tray is also suitable for DNPH cartridges.
  • A filter tray for 40 filters with a membrane diameter of 4 mm.

The GERSTEL MPS Robotic Pro fitted with the filtration option can be used with a variety of filter sizes and types. Filter materials available include cellulose acetate, nylon, PVDF, PTFE, polypropylene, and regenerated cellulose. These come in a 0.2 µm or 0.45 µm porosities, and a range of sizes including 4 mm, 17 mm, 25 mm, and 30 mm to suit all filtration requirements.

Features

  • Regenerated cellulose  filters are suitable for aqueous/organic solutions, low protein binding, recommended for biomolecular applications
  • Cellulose Acetate filters are excellent for aqueous solutions with very low protein binding
  • Nylon filters are hydrophilic with good solvent resistance, suitable for a broad range of applications
  • PVDF filters are known for their broad chemical compatibility and low protein binding; ideal for general sample filtration
  • PTFE filters are hydrophobic and exhibit high resistant to solvents
  • Polypropylene filters are hydrophobic with high solvent resistance, used across various filtration applications
  • Filters available in a choice of diameters (4 mm, 17 mm, 25 mm, 30 mm) and porosities (0.2 µm and 0.45 µm) to suit different requirements
  • The fast filtration option enables rapid filtration of samples into 2 mL vials stored on a special filtrate tray
