With both tailored particle and pore size options, HALO® BioClass C4 offers application specific solutions for proteins. The densely bonded, extensively endcapped dimethylbutyl stationary phase of HALO® C4 provides a stable, reversed-phase packing that can be used for separating high molecular weight compounds such as proteins.
HALO 1000 Å C4 is based on a wide-pore 1000 Å Fused-Core® particle design. This particle exhibits very high column efficiency due to the shallow diffusion paths in the 0.5 µm thin porous shell and the small overall particle size of 2.7 µm.
HALO 400 Å C4 is based on a wide-pore 400 Å Fused-Core® particle design. This particle exhibits very high column efficiency due to the shallow diffusion paths in the 0.2 µm thin porous shell and the small overall particle size of 3.4 µm.

The HALO® C4 columns are available in a 1000 Å 2.7 µm Fused-Core® particle and a 400 Å 3.4 µm Fused-Core® particle. The 1000 Å particle is used for the ultimate resolution of mAbs, while the 400 Å particle is designed for fast analysis of large proteins at lower back pressures.
