Primesep B from SiELC is a mixed-mode HPLC column with basic ion-pairing groups with a pKa value of 10 embedded on C12 carbon chains. The recommended pH range is from 1.5 to 4, created by the addition of trifluoroacetic, phosphoric, perchloric, or formic acids to the mobile phase. Primesep B effectively retains both hydrophobic and acidic components using simple mobile phase systems.
