SiELC Primesep B2 HPLC Columns

SiELC Primesep B2 is a mixed-mode HPLC column with acidic carboxylic functional groups embedded into long ligand chains. It is a weakly basic column and by using a mobile phase adjusted to a pH below 5 the column surface becomes charged. This enables retention of acidic compounds by an ion-exchange mechanism and retention of neutral compounds by a reversed phase mechanism.

Features

  • Primesep B2 stationary phase has weakly basic ion-pairing groups embedded in long ligand chains
  • Improves retention of acidic compounds by anion-exchange mechanism
  • Separates bases by ion-exclusion mechanism
  • Retains neutral compounds by reversed phase mechanism
  • Offers mobile phase compatibility with LC-MS
  • Recommended to use ammonium acetate or ammonium formate buffers in mobile phase
  • Resistant to dewetting in 100% aqueous mobile phase
  • Scalable from capillary to prep
  • Guard columns connect directly to columns and do not require any additional holders
