Tosoh Bioscience EcoSEC Elite

The EcoSEC Elite GPC System from Tosoh Bioscience is an advanced, all-in-one solution designed specifically for high-throughput polymer analysis. Built for precision, reliability and efficiency, the system integrates every essential component within a compact footprint, delivering superior analytical performance and reproducibility.

A key feature of EcoSEC Elite design is its low dead volume (<20 μL) – less than half that of conventional GPC systems – enabling enhanced resolution and highly accurate molar mass distribution. The temperature-controlled dual pump system ensures exceptional flow rate precision, maintaining consistency even with fluctuations in laboratory temperature. Combined with the dual flow refractive index (RI) detector, the system provides unmatched baseline stability for confident, high-quality data acquisition.

Available in configurations for operation at ambient temperature and up to 60 °C, the EcoSEC Elite is optimised for rapid polymer characterisation. Its integrated solvent delivery system, automatic injector, column oven, and high-performance RI detector are all standard features, while additional detectors – such as UV, light scattering and viscosity – can be added for extended analytical capability.

When paired with TSKgel semi-micro GPC columns, the EcoSEC Elite offers significant savings in both time and solvent consumption. These semi-micro columns, with dimensions of 4.6 x 150 mm, use only about one sixth of the solvent required by conventional 7.8 x 300 mm columns and often reduce run times by half. This not only improves laboratory efficiency but also enhances resolution and signal-to-noise ratios.

Features

  • Dual Flow Cell RI Detector – Equipped with an LED light source to minimise noise and baseline drift, ensuring superior signal stability
  • Exceptional Retention Time Precision – Delivers best-in-class consistency for highly accurate molar mass determinations
  • Constant Temperature Control – Maintains stable conditions across the degasser chamber, pump heads and solvent line for reproducible performance
  • Low Dead Volume Design – Enhances resolution and reduces both analysis time and solvent consumption when using 4.6 x 150 mm GPC columns
  • Large Column Oven – Accommodates up to eight columns and a switching valve, supporting complex multi-column setups
  • User-Friendly Software – Simplifies operation and data analysis with intuitive control and monitoring functions
  • Optional Detectors – Supports additional UV, light scattering, and viscometer detectors for expanded analytical capability
