YMC-Pack Pro C18 RS Analytical HPLC Columns
The relatively high carbon load of 22% for YMC-Pack Pro C18 RS and its smaller pore diameter amplifies the selectivity’s ability to discriminate between closely related compounds such as positional or steric isomers. YMC-Pack Pro C18 RS recognises even slight steric differences, even if the analytes differ only in their three-dimensional structure and not in their hydrophobicity or polarity. A more conventional carbon load (~15%) C18 chemistry is not able to use this property for separation.
YMC-Pack Pro C18 RS columns are engineered to provide exceptional resolution and selectivity making them especially suitable for separating structurally similar compounds. The enhanced steric selectivity offered by the high carbon load of 22% and smaller pore size of 80 Å makes this column ideal for complex mixtures where resolution of closely related analytes is challenging. With a broad pH range of 1 – 10, the YMC-Pack ProRS columns provide flexible method development opportunities for demanding applicaitons.
