YMCbasic shows a different hydrophobicity and represents a complementing selectivity to C8 and C18 materials.
YMCbasic offers high resolution and excellent peak symmetry for basic compounds without the need of ion pair reagents or amine modifiers. Unlike many base-deactivated phases, YMCbasic is also suitable for separation of acidic compounds, showing slight retention of highly polar acid compounds such as maleate.
YMCbasic columns are specifically designed to enhance the chromatographic analysis of basic compounds. These columns offer a unique solution for challenges commonly faced in the separation of basic molecules, such as tailing peaks due to interaction with residual silanol groups on the silica surface.
