Advion-Interchim TLC-FlashReader
The TLC-FlashReader from Advion-Interchim Scientific is a compact and versatile instrument designed for the visualisation, analysis, and archiving of thin-layer chromatography (TLC) plates. Designed for use across research, development, quality control, and process laboratories, the device features an integrated high-resolution camera and three illumination sources: white light, UV 254 nm, and UV 366 nm. With a footprint of just 17 cm x 22 cm x 32 cm, it is suitable for laboratories with limited bench space while still accommodating TLC plates up to 8.5 cm in width and 12.5 cm in height.
The instrument is operated via a dedicated software interface, developed for intuitive use and efficient data handling. It employs proprietary algorithms for automatic recognition of compound spots, solvent fronts, and deposition lines. The software calculates Rf values and ΔCV with high accuracy and supports manual annotation of solvents, proportions, and user comments. Images and analytical data can be archived and exported, facilitating traceability and integration into electronic laboratory notebooks.
Designed to function either as a standalone system or in conjunction with Advion-Interchim Scientific’s puriFlash 5th generation purification platforms, the TLC-FlashReader enables seamless data transfer with ClearPeak X software. When used in combination with Genius Flash&GO software functionality, TLC data can inform and optimise purification protocols automatically.
The TLC-FlashReader supports routine applications such as monitoring chemical reactions, confirming compound fractions after purification, and archiving crude sample analysis. Its combination of optical precision, compact design, and software integration makes it a valuable addition to modern laboratory workflows.
