Agilent Poroshell SB-C8 HPLC columns are produced with bulky silane groups that sterically protect the siloxane bond instead of acid labile endcapping reagents. This results in an improved column life and excellent chemical and temperature stability at pH 1 – 6. A lack of endcapping provides a different selectivity to the endcapped Poroshell EC-C8. Available with superficially porous particles in 2.7 µm for UHPLC performance at lower backpressures.
