HALO® C18 HPLC Columns from Advanced Materials Technology

HALO 90 Å C18 is a high-speed, high-performance liquid chromatography column based on a new Fused-Core® particle design. The Fused-Core® particle provides a thin porous shell of high-purity silica surrounding a solid silica core. This particle design exhibits very high column efficiency due to the shallow diffusion paths in the porous shell. The densely bonded, extensively endcapped dimethyloctadecyl stationary phase of HALO 90 Å C18 provides a stable, reversed-phase packing that can be used for basic, acidic, or neutral compounds.

Available in 3 particle sizes:

  • HALO® 2 µm columns can meet or exceed the performance of most non-core sub-2 µm columns at pressures one-third to one-half the back pressure under the same conditions
  • HALO® 2.7 µm columns can meet or exceed the performance of most non-core sub-2 µm columns at pressures one-third to one-half the back pressure under the same conditions
  • HALO® 5 µm columns match the performance of totally porous 3 µm columns at roughly half the back pressure under the same conditions

HALO® C18 HPLC columns from Advanced Materials Technology are ideal for a wide range of reversed phase applications. The dimethyloctadecyl ligand (USP L1) is the most popular stationary phase in HPLC due to its excellent performance for a broad range of analyte polarities. HALO® C18 is bonded on 90 Å superficially porous particles available in 2 µm, 2.7 µm, and 5 µm particle sizes.
