HALO® PCS C18 HPLC Columns from Advanced Materials Technology

HALO® PCS C18 HPLC columns feature a positively charged surface C18 stationary phase designed to deliver superior peak shape, resolution, and loading capacity for basic analytes. Optimised for low ionic strength mobile phases such as formic acid, this charged surface C18 column reduces tailing and provides alternative selectivity compared with conventional C18 phases, making it well suited to challenging small-molecule separations.

Built on Advanced Materials Technology’s proven Fused-Core® technology – now offered in 2.0 µm and 2.7 µm particle sizes with 90 Å pore size – HALO® charged surface columns provide fast, high-efficiency separations for LC and LC–MS workflows. The 2.0 µm HALO® PCS C18 option further enhances resolution and sensitivity, particularly for basic compounds such as beta blockers and drugs-of-abuse panels. Under acidic conditions, the positively charged surface minimises tailing, enabling sharper peaks, higher sample loading, and improved impurity detection while maintaining full compatibility with LC-MS mobile phases.
