PLOT GC Columns

PLOT (Porous Layer Open Tubular) GC columns are specifically designed for the separation of small, volatile molecules and are widely used in permanent gas analysis GC. A porous layer open tubular column features a solid adsorbent layer bonded to the inner surface of the tubing, providing strong retention and efficient separation of compounds that are gases at room temperature. These columns are ideally suited for applications involving light hydrocarbons, permanent gases, unsaturated hydrocarbon isomers, oxygenated compounds, and alkanes up to C12.

Modern PLOT column designs incorporate particle-trapping technology to minimise shedding, preventing particle accumulation, leaks, and flow restriction while protecting the GC system and ensuring stable, reliable operation.
