Gilson CENTRY 103 Minicentrifuge
The Gilson CENTRY 103 Minicentrifuge is a compact, portable instrument designed for rapid, low-speed centrifugation tasks such as separating particles from a supernatant or collecting droplets from the walls of microtubes. Its simple, press-to-run operation and fixed-speed performance make it well suited to routine laboratory work, including sample preparation for PCR, cell culture and protein workflows. With an ergonomic design and minimal bench footprint, the CENTRY 103 can be used comfortably in a wide range of laboratory environments.
Operation is controlled entirely via the lid, allowing the centrifuge to start and stop quickly without the need for speed or time adjustments. The unit reaches a fixed speed of 6,000 rpm almost instantly, supporting fast spin-downs for everyday applications. Interchangeable rotors accommodate either up to eight 1.5 - 2.0 mL microtubes or two strips of eight 0.2 mL tubes, providing flexibility for different sample formats. Optional battery operation further enhances portability, enabling use in locations without direct access to mains power.
