Gilson CENTRY 117 Microcentrifuge
The Gilson CENTRY 117 Microcentrifuge is a compact benchtop instrument designed for routine separation of a wide range of research samples. It features a maintenance-free brushless motor and an intuitive full-colour touchscreen interface for precise control of speed and run time. Supplied with a COMBI-Rotor, the centrifuge accommodates up to 24 microtubes (1.5 - 2.0 mL) or two PCR strips, with optional adapters available for smaller tube formats. Maximum performance of up to 13,500 rpm (16,800 x g) supports efficient and reproducible sample processing across diverse laboratory applications.
The CENTRY 117 offers flexible programming, allowing users to store and recall up to nine custom run protocols via one-touch access. Speed can be set between 1,000 and 13,500 rpm in 100 rpm increments, with readout in either rpm or relative centrifugal force. A proprietary air-flow system provides effective temperature management, maintaining sample stability during extended runs and enabling operation in cold room environments. Its compact footprint makes the centrifuge well suited to laboratories where bench space is limited.
